Video games have become ubiquitous, and yet the topic of whether they are an art form is still hotly debated. I, for one, have always felt they have an artistry all their own, which probably explains why my chosen medium for so long was the phlog (photo blog).
I took time to create each phlog, choosing screenshots that best illustrate a topic, adjusting my avatar and in-game camera to capture the right composition, and writing companion copy to help elaborate on the visual. It was a labor of love.
Every screenshot on This Gamer's Life (except for some press kit shots for E3 blogs) was taken by me, either on a mobile phone or console, some long before blessed photo mode made shutterbugs of us all. I hope you enjoy these select images.
